Caring

Caring

Oh, how it warms the heart, opens the door, and reminds one of the preciousness of relationship with self, others, and life. As we open ourselves to release the frequent distractions, responsibilities, and needs of life to reflect on the relationships we are graced to have, we may allow ourselves to think of a partner, a friend, any individual to whom our heart spontaneously opens. In that moment, we may share the mutual blessing of holding them closely, dearly, unconditionally in our heart. Know that every thought you have paves your way, as well as graces the thought realm of our planet with a tangible, supportive, uplifting, and caressing energy. You are being a distinctive contribution to another and your well-being—as you were born to be. We can never care too much, only enough, which is boundless.

As the Budda gently stated, “We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.” Who is someone in your life or in this moment, who awakens your caring heart and mind? Open and allow the sweetness of thought and feeling. Know it is worthy of you to allow a gracious moment to bless in thought, share a text, write a letter, initiate a phone call or embrace in person. Such an act is beyond the usual of “doing.” It is instead an attunement to the sublime presence of just “being” with the wholeness of your presence, which reflects the universal connection and wholeness of all beings.
